What this experience feels like
Relaxation massage is unhurried and warm. Long, smooth Swedish-style strokes carry you across the table while your therapist holds a steady, calm presence.
It's the kind of session most guests fall halfway into a nap during — and walk out of feeling lighter, softer, and quietly restored.
Best for
- First-time guests
- Stress, overwhelm, and a noisy week
- A gentle entry point into bodywork
- Anyone craving a soft, quiet pause
What happens during the session
- Clothing
- Undress to your comfort level under the sheet.
- Pressure
- Light to medium throughout — never demanding.
- Draping
- You're always covered; only the area being worked on is uncovered.
- Pacing
- Long, slow strokes with no agenda other than your rest.
Before & after your session
Small choices before and after your session make the work land deeper — here's what our therapists recommend.
Before you arrive
- Hydrate
- Drink a full glass of water in the hour before your session. Well-hydrated tissue responds more quickly and holds the work longer.
- Eat lightly
- Avoid a heavy meal in the two hours beforehand. A small snack is perfect.
- Arrive a few minutes early
- Give yourself 5–10 minutes to settle. We'll offer tea and walk you through anything new.
- Come as you are
- No pre-session shower required — but we have a private guest bathroom if you'd like to freshen up after a hike.
After your session
- Sip water through the day
- Bodywork gently mobilises tissue. Steady hydration helps you feel your best the next morning.
- Move gently, not intensely
- A slow walk, a soak, or a stretch is beautiful. Save the hard workout for the day after.
- Notice, don't chase
- Most guests feel the deepest calm 6–12 hours later. Let the session keep unfolding.
- Rebook while it's fresh
- Guests who book their next session before leaving the studio maintain the benefit longest.

Aromatherapy
Choose a therapeutic-grade blend — calming, grounding, or clarifying — layered gently through the session.
Hot stone accents
Warm basalt stones eased along the back and shoulders to soften tension before your therapist works deeper.
Scalp & neck focus
Extra time layered into the scalp, neck, and jaw — a favourite for screen-tension and headache-prone guests.
Add a mini-facial
A shortened Eminence Organic facial layered onto your massage — glow-giving and deeply calming.
