What this experience feels like
CranioSacral therapy is so gentle it can feel like very little is happening — and yet most guests drift into a deep, dream-like calm and leave noticeably softer.
The work follows the natural rhythms of the nervous system. There is no pressure, no manipulation, no agenda — only stillness, warmth, and quiet attention.
Best for
- Stress, anxiety, and sensory overwhelm
- Headache and jaw tension
- Burnout recovery and emotional integration
- Guests who find traditional massage too stimulating
Who should wait or check with us first
CranioSacral Therapy is safe for most guests, but a few situations call for a conversation — with us, or with your provider — before you book:
- Energy work is complementary care — it does not replace medical or mental-health treatment.
- If you're in acute crisis or under active psychiatric care, talk with your provider before booking.
- Fever or contagious illness — please reschedule.
If you're unsure whether massage is right for you today, call us before you book — our therapists would rather help you choose than have you sit through a session that isn't a fit.
What happens during the session
- Clothing
- Fully clothed — soft, comfortable layers.
- Position
- Face-up under a warm blanket, supported with bolsters.
- Touch
- Very gentle holds along the head, spine, and sacrum.
- Pacing
- Slow, still, and deeply unhurried.
Before & after your session
Small choices before and after your session make the work land deeper — here's what our therapists recommend.
Before you arrive
- Wear soft layers
- You stay fully clothed. Choose something you can rest in.
- Silence the noise
- Set your phone on Do Not Disturb before you arrive so nothing pulls you out.
- Come with no expectation
- There is nothing you need to feel or produce. The work meets you exactly where you are.
After your session
- Ease back into the day
- If you can, protect 30 quiet minutes afterward. Skip the phone until you're back in the car.
- Sleep may deepen
- Many guests report the deepest sleep of the month the night of a session. Plan for an early night.
- Journal briefly
- A single sentence about what you noticed can help the session integrate.
Deepen the session
Layer any of these into your session — chosen when you book.
Aromatherapy
Choose a therapeutic-grade blend — calming, grounding, or clarifying — layered gently through the session.
Scalp & neck focus
Extra time layered into the scalp, neck, and jaw — a favourite for screen-tension and headache-prone guests.
